Pianist & Violinist
Sophie is an eleven year old student currently studying at the Chetham’s School of Music in Manchester. She has a wide range of interests and hobbies but her love of music is paramount. After showing exceptional promise during her audition for Chetham’s she was accepted with the piano as her primary instrument and has been under the tutelage of Jeremy Young. In November 2015 she was entered for the Chopin competition in Warsaw, Poland and was a prize winner. Over the last year she has been involved in a Duet Competition and Concert, a piano competition in Chester, a Yamaha competition and in several lunchtime concerts in the Baronial Hall at Chetham’s. She was also invited to perform at the festival of summer music in Alfriston in July 2016.
