Ran Feng

RNCM - Pianist

Feng Ran, born in 1991 in Guizhou, China, has been playing piano since she was four years old. At the age of 14, she was admitted into Kiev Lysenko musical college as a gifted child. At 17, she entered the Tchaikovsky Conservatory of Ukraine, which is a worldwide known music academy, as an accelerated student with an excellent score. Later in 2013, she was awarded the master diploma with honours with full-mark distinction. During this postgraduate career, in 2012, Ran was also accepted by the International Piano Academy ‘Incontri col Maestro’ located in Imola, Italy. Since then, she has been under the tutelage of Maestro Leonid Margarius, Enrico Pace and Igor Roma; with her five-years study plan, she is going to acquire the diploma of piano performance in June 2017. Furthermore, she has received the Dorothy Stone Award and is currently studying the Artist Diploma with Mr. Graham Scott. at Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester, the United Kingdom.

In her sixteen, she won the third prize in the 3rd Tbilisi International Young Pianists Competition of Georgia, and at the same time she was also acknowledged the only special reward ‘Future Pianist’. In May and June of 2014, she won the second prize of the 16th international music competition ‘Euterpe’, the first prize and the special prize of the 5th international competition ‘Premio Crescendo’ held in Florence. In March 2014 in Netherlands, she passed the international selection for the 10th Utrecht International Lizst Piano Competition; afterwards, in October, she played in the quarter final of that competition. In May 2015, she won the first prize of the 25th International Young Musician Competition ‘Città di Barletta’ in Italy. In October, she was one of the six semifinalists of the 8th International FRANZ LISZT Piano Competition Weimar-Bayreuth in Germany.

She has attended and performed in some of the prestigious concerts and festivals of Europe, such as: In June 2014 concert for the opening ceremony of TivoliVredenburg Concert Hall in Utrecht, Netherlands; on 29th October 2015 the recital at Liszt-Haus in Weimar, Germany. From the year 2016, by “Musica Insieme in Ateneo” Foundation to play the recital in laboratory of the arts for commemorate the 300th anniversary of Academy Philharmonic of Bologna on 28th January in Bologna, Italy; the recital in “I Concerti Ciani alla Chiesa di Santa” on 3rd June in Italy; the recital on 20th August the recital of “Al Chiaro di Luno Festival” in Vibo Valentia in Italy; on 30th October the concert season in church of Sant’Antonio in Barletta in Italy and the recital of “Musical encounters” on 12th December at Gaber auditorium of Pirelli skyscraper in Milan,Italy.
