Distinguished cello professor of Music College of Capital Normal University
Lu Jie, male, born on 09 January 1960, is an eminent Chinese cellist and professor, who is currently a council member of the Cello Society of Chinese Musicians’ Association, and distinguished cello professor of Music College of Capital Normal University, of the Art College in Xiamen University, as well as distinguished tenured professor of the Middle School Affiliated to the National Academy of Chinese Theatre Arts.
Lu Jie is experienced in cello teaching and performing. After graduating from Xi’an Conservatory of Music, Mr. Lu worked as a teacher in Xi’an Conservatory of Music and Shaanxi Traditional Opera College successively, served as a principal cellist in Cultural Troupe of Chinese Air Force Political Department. He also took various academic exchanges among the national and international institutes, including La Sierra University (USA, 2004), P. I. Tchaikovsky Conservatory (Russia, 2012), N. A. Rimsky-Korsakov Saint Petersburg State Conservatory (Russia, 2012), Belgian Royal Academy of Music (2013), Royal Academy of Music (U.K, 2013), The Frideric Chopin University of Music (2015), Vienna Konservatorium (2015) and so on. His lectures and personally demonstration on famous Chinese cello songs Saliha, River Water, Tianshan Mountain during the festival have been gotten great attentions on the internet.
Mr. Lu Jie has been involved in a number of musical occasions. As the concerto soloist, he has played the piece of cello solo of music composition House of Flying Daggers under baton of Yan Huichang, the art director of Hongkong Chinese Orchestra, in National Grand Theatre of China in Beijing, and in recital at Kodak Theatre of L.A, U.S.A, China-Korea Exchange Concerts of New Pieces and Beijing Modern Music Festival.
In 2014, by the invitation of P. I. Tchaikovsky Conservatory, Lu Jie attended the 12th International String Competition of Youth Musicians as the judge. In 2015 and 2016, he was also invited respectively to be a judge at the International Knushevitzky Cello Competitions by the Russian State Ministry Culture and the organizing committee of the competition. He is the only Chinese musician who served as the judge for two years in the history of this competition.

毕业于西安音乐学院，师承赵震肖、王相乾、司徒志文教授。
曾任西安音乐学院教师、陕西省戏曲学院教师、空军政治部文工团首席大提琴。
长期从事大提琴教学与演奏工作，有着丰富的演奏与教学实践经验。多次组织全国性的大提琴夏令营、冬令营活动，赴香港、澳门、内蒙、云南等地进行学术交流，现场讲授多首大提琴优秀曲目并亲自演奏，其中《萨丽哈》、《江河水》、《节日的天山》等曲目通过网络的传送，引起巨大的反响。
2004年10月赴美国la Sierra University 进行学术交流，受到了美方同行的高度好评。
2008年9月在美国洛杉矶柯达剧院演奏大提琴独奏中国作品《江河水》，获得极大的成功。
2009年5月5日在首师大音乐学院中韩作曲家新作品交流音乐会上演奏大提琴独奏受到了好评。
2009年5月22日在北京现代音乐节上代表首师大音乐学院室内乐团参加首都师范大学音乐学院作曲系教师专场音乐会（北京素描），其中参加演出重奏节目两个，独奏节目一个，均获得了观众的高度评价，中央电视台音乐频道也给予了专题报道。
2009年7月26日在国家大剧院音乐厅，与中央民族乐团在香港中乐团艺术总监阎惠昌的指挥下，在中国大陆首演了由世界著名大提琴演奏家马友友等人编曲的《十面埋伏》乐曲中的大提琴独奏部分，赢得了现场观众热烈的掌声，中央电视台音乐频道给予了报道。
2010年4月与中央民族乐团合作演出大提琴、二胡与乐队《菊花台》，获得了极大成功。
2012年10月应邀赴俄罗斯柴可夫斯基音乐学院、圣彼得堡里姆斯基·科萨科夫音乐学院访问交流。
2013年10月赴比利时皇家音乐学院、英国皇家音乐学院访问交流。
2014年应俄罗斯国家文化部及柯努舍维茨基国际大提琴比赛组委会的邀请,赴俄罗斯担任第二届柯努舍维茨基国际大提琴比赛的评委。
2015年应邀赴波兰肖邦音乐学院，匈牙利李斯特音乐学院，奥地利维也纳音乐学院和萨尔斯堡音乐学院访问交流。
2015年11月应俄罗斯柴可夫斯基音乐学院邀请，担任第十二届国际青年音乐家弦乐比赛评委。
2016年再次应俄罗斯国家文化部及柯努舍维茨基国际大提琴比赛组委会的邀请,赴俄罗斯担任第三届柯努舍维茨基国际大提琴比赛的评委。也是柯努舍维茨基国际大提琴比赛唯一的两届华人评委。
